Brea Baker is a writer with a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University. She contributes essays on race and gender to leading publications including ELLE, Harper’s BAZAAR, Refinery 29, Parade Magazine, Sweet July, THEM, Mission Magazine, and more. She has also interviewed BIPOC industry leaders across entertainment, fashion, and social entrepreneurship including actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, journalist Soledad O’Brien, designer Anifa Mvuemba of HANIFA, and more. Her book, Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft & The Modern Movement for Black Land Ownership, will be published by One World (an imprint of Penguin Random House).
