Derin Yılmaz received her BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College and is a graduate of the Columbia Publishing Program at Columbia University. She has recently worked as an Editorial Assistant at Sweet July Magazine and is a lifestyle and arts & culture focused writer. Derin has previously worked on the development of book-to-film adaptations and other film projects in Los Angeles before moving to New York to pursue an editorial career. As a Turkish-American, Derin was born in New Jersey and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. She is currently based in NYC.
