Some celebrations deserve to be glamorous.
Make this fondue, get dressed up, and light lots of candles!
Chocolate Bourbon Fondue
Start to finish: 10 minutes
Serves 8 people
2 cups water
1 cup heavy cream
12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate morsels (or chopped semisweet chocolate)
2 tbsp bourbon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp flaky sea salt (such as Maldon)
Pound cake, pretzels, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, apples, brownies, cookies, and banana, for dipping
- Bring 2 cups water to a simmer in a 2-quart sauce-pan over medium. Place a heat-proof bowl over simmering water, and add cream. Heat cream until just simmering, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes. Add chocolate, and stir until melted and smooth, about 2 minutes. Add bourbon and vanilla; stir to combine.
- Remove from heat, and transfer to a medium-size serving bowl. Top with sea salt, and serve warm with desired dippers.
