RECIPE:
Maple Almond Butter
INGREDIENTS
4 cups raw almonds
2-4 tbsp avocado oil
3 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Lay raw almonds out onto a prepared sheet pan—roast at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and allow cooling.
- In a blender or food processor, add avocado oil and cooled roasted almonds and blend, making sure to scrape sides or use a stick to help almonds break down. Be patient, it takes time (at least 10 minutes). If your blender gets warm, pause and then resume when it cools down. Once blended and smooth, add in vanilla, syrup and salt. Blend to incorporate. Place creamy maple almond butter in a mason jar or airtight container until ready to use.
