It's always iced coffee season over here!
Dark Chocolate and Orange is a pairing you may be familiar with. But incorporating the two with the Sweet July House Blend Coffee is a great compliment – the Semisweet Chocolate tasting notes in the coffee is enhanced with the addition of Dark Chocolate, creating a creamy and citrusy coffee beverage perfect for sipping.
RECIPE:
Chocolate Orange Iced Coffee
INGREDIENTS
8 oz Sweet July House Blend Coffee, cooled
2 tbsp simple syrup
1 tbsp fresh orange juice
3 oz half and half
1 tbsp dark chocolate sauce
Whipped cream, garnish
Orange slice, garnish
Chocolate shavings (optional), garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the coffee, simple syrup and dark chocolate sauce to a large glass. Fill with ice.
In a separate cup, combine the half and half and fresh orange juice. Aerate using a frother until the mixture doubles in size.
Pour on top of the coffee mixture and gently stir to combine. If desired, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings. If you’re feeling extra fancy, garnish with a slice of orange dipped in melted dark chocolate.
